Metro Urban

The Fraser Soccer Club also provides teams to play in the Metro Urban League. This league consists of other local municipalities such as St. Clair Shore, Grosse Pointe and more. We play games on Fraser Soccer fields as well as fields within those city limits. The league is a play for fun league where kids will be taught the game of soccer, at a less competitive, less intense setting. This is a great opportunity for players to get exercise, learn the game or enhance their current knowledge. It also provides a platform for those players who play multiple sports to enjoy soccer without the investment or commitment of Select soccer. Lastly it gives the kids and parents a small glimpse into what Select soccer is, with the limited travel experience & commitment. This allows kids to decide if they want to tryout for a Select team to take it to another level. We form teams every season for players ages 11 and up.

Depending on weather and holidays, the spring season starts in early April and runs into June. Fall season runs from early September into November.

The program  consist of the following:

  • 8 -10 training sessions
  • 8-10 games (per league discretion)
  • Uniform kit

FSC Academy

Our Academy program has been designed with great care and thought. We realize the word academy is very overused in today's soccer landscape. Our program is based on a true European model of player development. This program utilizes professional trainers in a pool player setting.  Players are not placed on "teams" they are initially enrolled in a pool by their birth year. These pools are fluid and players maybe mixed to better suit abilities and skill level to enhance the players development. The program is centered around the player and a "its about me" philosophy.

Creating a passion and love for the game, individual technique, body shape, and ball manipulation are at the core of the curriculum. Creating good habits through positive reinforcement and repetition in a structured environment.

Utilizing small sided games from 1v1 to 4v4 formats, players will constantly be challenged and learn the basic core fundamentals required to play the sophisticated 11 a side full field game they will encounter later in life.

Our Academy players will progress into our Select program at about 8 to 9 years of age.

The Academy program was designed for players 5 to 10 years of age, from no experience on up.

Academy program consists of:

  • 7 weeks of training, 2 days a week
  • 1 v 1 to 4 v 4 SSG or scrimmages
